Partial requirements

Partial Requirements are available to give customers flexibility in meeting their energy needs. For example, a shale gas operation may want to generate electricity by burning natural gas onsite. They don't plan to sell any of the power they generate to Rocky Mountain Power, but instead want the reassurance that Rocky Mountain Power's system is available to handle all of their electrical needs should their partial generation be interrupted or fail.

Interconnection — To set up a Partial Requirement arrangement within Rocky Mountain Power's service area, we will work with you to implement an interconnection agreement. Partial Requirements interconnection agreements are administered by the company's transmission services function (PacifiCorp Transmission Services). Learn more about interconnect requests.

A separate tariff exists in each state for Partial Requirements:

Idaho Schedule 31 - high voltage

Utah Schedule 33

Wyoming Schedule 33
