Usage Insights

Making the most of your energy use is another powerful way to be more sustainable. Simple actions like adjusting your thermostat a few degrees, turning off lights in empty rooms and choosing efficient appliances can lower your usage and help keep bills manageable over time. Rocky Mountain Power’s Usage Insights and Home Energy Reports provide personalized information about how, when and where your household uses energy. With easy‑to‑read charts and tips, you can identify patterns, find opportunities to save and track the impact of changes you make over time, helping you turn awareness into action.

Time of Use plans

Time of Use pricing plans give you more control over your energy costs by offering lower prices during off‑peak hours. Under these plans, by shifting activities like laundry, dishwashing or electric vehicle charging to these times, you can unlock potential bill savings while helping support a more resilient grid for everyone.

​Cool Keeper

Cool Keeper is a no‑cost program available in Utah that offers customers an annual bill credit for installing a small device on eligible air conditioners or heat pumps to help briefly reduce energy use, for no more than a few minutes at a time, on hot summer days. When many customers participate, these short adjustments help support grid reliability and keep electricity costs down across the community, while keeping homes comfortable.
