SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power has turned off power in portions of Southern Utah as part of a Public Safety Power Shutoff. Approximately 7,735 customers are within the current PSPS event footprint, including customers who have been de-energized and customers who may still be de-energized. The shutoff could last through Sunday, June 28, 2026. Some customers were de-energized sooner than expected due to winds that were stronger than forecast. Rocky Mountain Power will begin patrolling power lines, assessing what repairs may be needed and clearing possible debris prior to safely turning power back on. We will provide updates on power restoration once that information is available.
In addition, approximately 7,637 customers are in a PSPS warning status, meaning conditions may require a shutoff if wildfire risk increases. Customers in warning areas should be prepared for the possibility of outages as conditions continue to evolve.
“Public Safety Power Shutoffs are a last resort, and we understand the disruption they create for customers and communities,” said Carrie Laird, Rocky Mountain Power incident commander. “With Southern Utah facing unusually extreme wildfire conditions under a Particularly Dangerous Situation warning, our responsibility is to put safety first.”
Temporary Community Resource Centers are available to customers for charging devices, staying cool and accessing other amenities. Community Resource Centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the following days and locations:
