Rocky Mountain Power continues to restore customers as Public Safety Power Shutoff conditions improve

Most customers expected to be restored by late Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power has started to re-energize the remaining customers impacted by the Public Safety Power Shutoff in portions of Southern Utah. Crews continue to assess equipment, clear debris and restore power in areas where wildfire risk has lessened, and conditions are safe.

Rocky Mountain Power has canceled the remaining PSPS warnings. Based on the current forecast, no additional shutoffs are anticipated. If weather conditions change unexpectedly, a limited number of additional shutoffs could still occur. Conditions for Sunday have improved, and no shutoff warnings or watches are planned.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience as our teams work around the clock to restore power as safely as possible,” said Carrie Laird, Rocky Mountain Power incident commander. “Our top priority is the safety of our customers, crews and communities. Most customers currently without power are expected to be restored by late Saturday.”

All temporary Community Resource Centers opened during the Public Safety Power Shutoff have closed, as affected customers have been restored or are expected to be restored today, June 27.

Rocky Mountain Power continues to coordinate with local public safety partners and community leaders to assess critical infrastructure impacts and support restoration efforts.
