Lamp Replacement Rebates

Apply for Lamp Replacement Rebates

  1. Identify which lamps to upgrade at your facility.
  2. Purchase qualified lamps from a vendor of your choice.
  3. Complete and submit the Lamp Rebate Application, invoice and required documentation through the Rebate Application Center. Here are instructions for IRS Form W-9.
  4. Install new lamps in your Wyoming facility and enjoy the savings!
  5. Receive rebate check within 45 days of completion of Step 3.

1.   LED lamps and fixtures must be listed on ENERGY STAR®, DesignLights Consortium qualified equipment lists.

2.   TLEDs must be listed on DesignLights Consortium qualified equipment list and categorized as Linear Replacement Lamps (UL Type A), Internal-driver/Line Voltage Linear Lamp- Style Retrofit Kits (UL Type B), External-driver Linear Lamp-Style Retrofit Kits (UL Type C), or Dual Mode Internal Driver Linear Replacement Lamps (UL Type A and Type B).

•     HID = High Intensity Discharge (e.g. high pressure sodium, metal halide)

•     MR = Mirrored Reflector

•     PLC = Pin Lamp Compact Fluorescent

•     PLL = Pin Lamp Long Compact Fluorescent

•     TLED = Tubular Light Emitting Diode

Incentives for lighting retrofits

Get cash incentives and technical expertise for lighting upgrades. You can choose a Wattsmart Business Vendor or an independent energy consultant for a lighting analysis.

  1. Before you start your project, contact us or a Wattsmart® Business Vendor and complete a general application. We will need to verify existing equipment through an inspection to establish an energy baseline.
  2. We provide an offer letter for you to sign before you order equipment. You provide your tax ID in a completed W-9 form so we (or our program administrator) can prepare a 1099-Misc. (if required) following the incentive payment.
  3. Upgrade your lighting. 
  4. Submit project cost documentation including invoices with a breakdown of materials and labor. Then, contact Rocky Mountain Power or your Wattsmart Business Vendor for a post-installation inspection.
  5. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of step 4.

Incentives for new construction / major renovation

Get cash incentives and technical expertise for lighting installed as part of  new construction or major renovation. You can choose a Wattsmart Business Vendor or an independent energy consultant for technical expertise.

  1. Before you start your project, contact us or a Wattsmart Business Vendor and complete a general application.
  2. We provide project pre-qualification. Be sure you receive pre-qualification before you order equipment. You provide your tax ID in a completed W-9 form so we (or our program administrator) can prepare a 1099-Misc. (if required) following the incentive payment.
  3. Complete your new construction/major renovation project.
  4. Submit project cost documentation including invoices with a breakdown of materials and labor. Then, contact Rocky Mountain Power, a post-installation inspection may be required.
  5. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of step 4.
