SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power continued extensive repair and restoration work Friday night after a spring storm produced severe wet snowfall along the Wasatch Front. The storm caused damage to trees and power lines, resulting in more than 900 outages affecting more than 19,000 customers. Additional personnel and equipment have been brought in to help with restoration efforts and crews are working overnight to restore power to all customers.
Due to changing restoration conditions and extensive storm damage to distribution lines, an exact time of restoration for all customers is not available at this time. Rocky Mountain Power continues to advise affected customers to prepare to be without power overnight. Our crews will be working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore service.
Rocky Mountain Power encourages customers to report outages by calling 1-877-508-5088 or Text OUT to 759677 to report an outage. Text STAT to 759677 to check the status of your outage. Customers and media representatives can also track outages of any size online or with the Rocky Mountain Power app. Updates will be made as new information becomes available or at least hourly at rockymountainpower.net/outage.
