SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power continued extensive repair and restoration work Saturday after a spring storm produced severe wet snowfall and power outages along the Wasatch Front.
Because the remaining outages affect small groups of customers and are widely scattered throughout the affected area, reporting your outage again will help Rocky Mountain Power refresh its outage data and better prioritize repairs. Customers and media representatives can also track outages of any size online or with the Rocky Mountain Power app. Updates will be made as new information becomes available or at least hourly at rockymountainpower.net/outage.
Crews continued to make substantial progress on repairs Saturday. As of 1 p.m., there were 4,536 customers out of service from 694 reported problems. About 500 of the reported problems are single customers.
Due to changing restoration conditions and extensive storm damage to distribution lines, an exact time of restoration for all customers is not available at this time. Our crews will be working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore service.
The storm caused damage to trees and power lines, resulting in more than 900 outages affecting some 19,000 customers. Additional personnel and equipment were sent from the company’s other service centers in Utah and Idaho to help with restoration efforts and crews are working overnight to restore power to all customers.
