Rocky Mountain Power prepares for winter storm

SALT LAKE CITY – Rocky Mountain Power is monitoring a winter storm system moving into the service territory Friday evening through Saturday night.  The weather forecast indicates strong winds and snowfall along the Wasatch Front.  

This storm system has the potential to cause weather-related outages, and Rocky Mountain Power has crews ready to respond and engage in restoration efforts.

As a reminder, treat all downed wires as live and dangerous. Customers should avoid both downed trees and downed powerlines, and ensure pets are kept far away from those areas.

It is important for all customers to report power outages, as this assists crews in pinpointing the causes of outages and completing restoration efforts as quickly and safely as possible.
