Blue Sky helps “green” community light displays

Each holiday season, the Blue Sky program supports “greening” holiday lighting displays around communities by matching the electricity the events use with regional renewable energy.

In 2023, communities such as Lander, Laramie, Mapleton and more across Rocky Mountain Power’s service area “greened” their holiday lighting displays with support from the Blue Sky program. Altogether, 16 Rocky Mountain Power communities matched the power used by their local lighting celebrations with almost 213 megawatt-hours of Blue Sky renewable energy.

This year, we’re once again inviting communities to apply to have their displays matched by Blue Sky, helping light the season in a meaningful, sustainable way all over the West. For more information on the program and how to enroll, email bluesky@pacificorp.com.
