Park City Fire District

Park City Fire

Park City Fire District (PCFD) provides medical and fire protection services for the approximately 32,000 residents of Park City and Summit County, Utah. This service requires PCFD staff seven stations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Generating power on site helps reduce PCFD’s operating costs, allowing them to expand their public safety and training programs.

In 2015, PCFD installed a 32.8-kilowatt solar project, split between the Administration Building and  Logistics Building rooftops. The solar array features American-made solar panels and will generate about 45,000 kilowatt-hours of emissions-free energy each year. That’s enough to power more than four Utah homes.
