MONTPELIER, Idaho — This fall Rocky Mountain Power named Steve Liechty as the new regional business manager in southern Idaho.

Liechty, who replaced manager Vaughn Rasmussen after his retirement, has worked in the utility industry for over 20 years.

“Steve has an outstanding background in the utility industry and will be an asset both for the company and these communities,” said George Humbert, Rocky Mountain Power director of customer and community management. “We look forward to the work he will be doing in southern Idaho as he continues to build relationships and collaborate with the great customers in this area.”

Liechty has a bachelor’s degree in science from the Utah State University and started his career at Logan City Light and Power.

“I enjoy meeting new people and taking on new challenges and look forward to building strong relationships with local communities as well as with our large industrial folks,” Liechty said.
