Call before you dig, and be safe about tree pruning.
As the temperature rises, please consider these safety tips before starting any outdoor planting or pruning project:
- Call before you dig. A shovel hitting an underground power line can be dangerous. And planting trees that grow too close to power lines can cause outages and other hazardous conditions. Call 811 at least 48 hours prior to any planting or digging projects.
- Be aware of overhead power lines. Whenever you prune your trees, take note of the location of overhead power lines. Never try to remove a branch that is tangled or lying across a power line. Instead, call us at 1-888-221-7070 – we’ll be happy to remove it for you.
