Park City launches new Blue Sky Community Challenge

Mayor Dana Williams and the City Council of Park City are launching a new Blue Sky Community Challenge on September 6, 2010 to increase support for renewable energy in the region. The kickoff coincides with Park City’s annual Miner’s Day event and Blue Sky Week.

Just in time for the shorter fall and winter daylight hours, the Rocky Mountain Power Home Energy Savings Program and local Utah retailers are teaming up to offer compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) at discounted prices.
Energy assistance program helps 2,000 Utahns

Rocky Mountain Power, its customers and employees have joined together to provide energy assistance funds to help families who are in need throughout Utah. Donations received through the utility’s Lend a Hand program are used to help income-qualifying households with senior and disabled family members meet their energy needs.
