University of Utah - Sterling Sill Center

The 6 kilowatt solar array is installed at the Sterling Sill Center, which is located at the heart of the University of Utah campus and houses the Office of Undergraduate Studies, the Undergraduate Resources Opportunity Program, the LEAP program and a variety of other administrative offices. The building is seeking LEED certification. University architectural students will be instructed on the installation and benefits of solar electric systems for building design. In addition the University has a Sustainability Group that will provide additional public outreach communicating the benefits of the system.
