Summit Elementary School
Casper, Wyoming
Summit Elementary school plans to install a 2.4 kilowatt wind turbine on a new elementary school in Casper, Wyoming. The school serves as a community center and draws additional community members beyond their enrolled students and their families. The school already has geothermal and photovoltaic systems in place and the new wind turbine will provide data for an interactive power and weather station.
System data will be incorporated into the school curriculum in the entire school district.
