Girl Scout Council of Wyoming
Casper: 1.8 kw
Completed June 2008.
The Girl Scout Council of Wyoming is taking advantage of Casper Mountain's breezy nature to provide a teachable moment to the approximately 180 scouts who attend its Camp Sacajawea each summer. With help of a Rocky Mountain Power Blue Sky fund award, the council installed a Skystream 3.7 wind generator at the 200-acre mountain top retreat to educate campers about renewable energy. The residential-type wind turbine will also provide power to the camp.
