Casper Memorial VFW Post9439

The Casper Memorial VFW Post is a fraternal organization which benefits veterans and the community. Their project consists of three – 1.9 kilowatt wind turbines mounted on three monopole towers. One will be 33 feet tall, another will be 45 feet tall and the third will be on a 60 foot tower providing the community first hand knowledge of what each unit looks like and sounds like which will help the public better understand renewable energy that it is something that will benefit them and the community. The units will be made available for study to organizations that study renewable energy. The local community college intends to involve students in a monitoring and research efforts as well.
