Two wind turbines (one 5 kilowatt and one 10 kilowatt)were installed south of the newly constructed Grant elementary school to serve as a hands-on educational tool with applications in math, science and renewable energy to K-12 students. The electricity that the wind turbines generate are monitored by students.
The school district offers tours to interested community groups.
