UT Advice 12-01 Sch 107 Solar Incentive Program Advice Dist 1-5-12
Rocky Mountain Power has requested permission from the Public Service Commission of Utah to increase prices by an overall average of 13.7 percent. This price request is necessary to serve our Utah customers’ growing electricity needs and to comply with environmental requirements.
Prior to any price increase, our request will be thoroughly scrutinized by the Public Service Commission of Utah and other parties. The process to analyze the company’s request takes about eight months, so any changes in customer prices resulting from this request would not take place until September.
We recognize that price increases can be difficult for many customers, especially in the current economy. We don’t make these requests lightly and ask only for what is necessary to serve our Utah customers.
To find out more about why it is necessary to request an increase in electric prices, review the fact sheet, Planning for Utah’s Electricity Needs (PDF).
