Make the Holidays Brighter with Energy-Saving LED Lights

After the Black Friday shopping headache subsides, many people spend the day after Thanksgiving setting up their Christmas tree and other holiday decorations. If you're one of the procrastinators, then this message is especially for you! For the early bird types who finished buying presents back in September, this will give you a head start on planning for next year's holiday lighting.

When selecting your holiday lights, remember that using LED (light emitting diode) lights will use less energy and save you money. In fact, LEDs use up to 80 percent less electricity than conventional incandescent mini lights and can last up to 10 times longer.

My brother-in-law Dan made the switch to LED lights this year and is finding out just how much of a difference they can make. (As you'll see, Dan is still working on improving his energy efficiency in other areas, but he's making progress!)
