Business Solutions Toolkit Helps Customers Save Money
October 14, 2009
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 14, 2009 — "A penny saved is a penny earned." This old adage has never been more appropriate than today. It’s a fact of life for businesses struggling through our tough economy.
To help businesses better manage difficult economic times, Rocky Mountain Power has launched its Business Solutions Toolkit. The toolkit is a package of free, online resources that provide customers advice and information for managing their energy use and costs.
The toolkit includes industry-specific benchmark data, interactive analysis tools, energy-saving recommendations, a library of energy information resources, and an "Ask an Expert" service for answers to energy questions.
"We wanted to provide our customers with a service that helps them calculate energy costs, benchmark with others and identify improvement areas," said Karen Gilmore, Rocky Mountain Power vice president.
Through the online toolkit, customers can conduct energy self-assessments just by filling in basic facts about their facility and accessing customized data to help them make informed energy saving decisions.
Since its introduction the toolkit has been among the most used business resources on Rocky Mountain Power’s Web site.
To further assist business customers, the company will conduct a free internet seminar October 20 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The session is designed to help commercial customers discover and implement energy efficiency opportunities. Customers should register in advance of the seminar at: www.rockymountainpower.net/Article/Article89666.html
If customers are not available at that time, the seminar will be posted for viewing on the company’s Web site, rockymountainpower.net. Just click on the "Business" menu at the top of the page, then click "Save Energy" > "Tools and Resources" > "Seminars".
"We focus on providing customers with the service they expect and information they need," said Gilmore. "Using electricity more efficiently can help customers reduce energy costs. Those pennies can add up, and that is crucial in today’s economy."
