When it comes to safety, we work hard to protect our customers and communities. We want to ensure that the public knows what to do to work and live safely around power lines, and how to respond appropriately to electrical hazards.

Education is the key

As part of our safety education program, every year we deliver hundreds of electrical safety presentations, teaching people how to be safe around power lines, transformers and other electrical equipment. Company employees and retirees present valuable information about the benefits and dangers of electricity using demonstration boards. Audiences include contractors, emergency personnel, elementary school students (aimed at 5th grade classes) and a variety of community members.
