Rocky Mountain Power Foundation

The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation is part of the PacifiCorp Foundation, one of the largest utility-endowed foundations in the United States. The Foundation was created in 1988 by PacifiCorp, an electric utility serving 1.7 million customers in six Western states as Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power. It has been determined to be a qualified private, nonprofit charitable entity by the Internal Revenue Service.

Since 1988, the Foundation has awarded more than 7,775 grants totaling approximately $47.4 million. Last year, the Foundation awarded more than 490 grants totaling more than $2 million.

The Foundation awards grants for requests in four categories:

  • Education
  • Civic and community betterment
  • Arts and culture
  • Health and human services  

Grants generally are less than $10,000, with most between $2,000 and $5,000. In general, grants from the Foundation are limited to charitable nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations. Get more information on applying for a grant.
