Upper Rogue youth get funding for cultural visits

SHADY GROVE, Ore. — Upper Rogue Community Center has received a $3,000 grant from PacifiCorp Foundation’s Pacific Power Fund to help provide field trips to cultural and educational sites for school-age children in the Upper Rogue community.

The center’s youth activities program provides GED certifications and after-school activities for area youth. The grant will continue a program that has provided much-needed access to the large number of cultural and educational activities available in the Rogue Valley for children who otherwise would be unable to take advantage
of these opportunities.

This recent PacifiCorp Foundation Pacific Power Fund grant was awarded as one of four annual funding cycles for programs in education, health and human services, arts and culture, and civic and community betterment.
