REXBURG, Idaho — Rocky Mountain Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning, recently awarded $5,000 to
Brigham Young University-Idaho for student scholarships.
BYU-Idaho will divide the PacifiCorp Foundation grant into three scholarship funds: $3,200 will be awarded through the College
of Business/Communications, $900 through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and $900 through the university’s General
Scholarships fund.
“BYU-Idaho is pleased to have the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning as one of our long-time supporters,” said Dave Richards,
BYU-Idaho development director. “We are very happy that they are continuing their support of the university’s students and
mission and look forward to a great relationship with Rocky Mountain Power.”
“The PacifiCorp Foundation has provided support for BYU-Idaho’s scholarship program for many years, and we are pleased to
continue assisting students in their pursuit of higher education,” said Glen Pond, Rocky Mountain Power regional community
manager. “This grant is an increase from past scholarship funding awarded to BYU-Idaho in recognition of the growth of the
surrounding community and the increased number of students now attending the university.”
The PacifiCorp Foundation awards four annual grant cycles to nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of education,
health and human services, arts and culture, and civic and community betterment. For more information, visit www.pacificorpfoundation.com
