We are pleased to offer you our Blue Sky
SM program, which gives you the option to support renewable energy in addition to the renewable energy included in our diverse
mix of resources used to generate electricity for all our customers.
Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky program gives you an opportunity to support the development of electricity generated from
renewable resources in the region and help encourage the development of small-scale renewable energy projects.

Why should you choose Blue Sky renewable energy?
One of the simplest ways you can reduce your impact on the environment is by supporting renewable energy – power generated
from sources like the wind and sun.
When you participate in the Blue Sky program you’re helping to:
- support diverse, environmentally friendly and sustainable energy sources
- support cleaner air
- encourage the development of local and regional renewable energy projects
- create jobs in areas with renewable energy projects
Already, more than 26,900 Rocky Mountain Power customers have signed up to purchase electricity generated from clean, renewable
wind resources.
How does Blue Sky work?
When you enroll, we match your Blue Sky purchase with
renewable energy credits from newly developed wind generation and other renewable energy facilities in the region. We guarantee these resources have
been added to the system and are in addition to our own investments. To find out more about the projects currently connected

Neither you nor your electric equipment will notice any difference in power reliability or quality.
With Blue Sky, customers support wind generation in 100 kilowatt-hour (kwh) increments, called blocks, for just $1.95 per
block per month. Each 100 kwh block represents about 14 percent of the average customer’s monthly electricity usage
(based on 700 kwh/month). Since Blue Sky is sold in increments, you purchase an amount that is equivalent to a portion or all of the electricity you
use each month.
The additional Blue Sky charges will be included on your monthly bill, in addition to your regular charges. Your payments
will go directly support renewable energy in the region that and cover the costs of the program. We do not profit from offering
Blue Sky to our customers.
Businesses or non-residential customers can receive volume discounts through our “Quantity Savings” option. Purchasing Blue
Sky also can help you receive recognition through national programs offered through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Green Power program and the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. For
