Idaho Energy Efficiency Programs

We offer Idaho customers several energy saving programs and resources:

Home Energy Savings – Get cash back on energy-efficient appliances, home improvement projects, and heating and cooling equipment/services, that will keep your home comfortable and save you money.

Refrigerator Recycling – Say "See ya later, refrigerator" and earn a $30 cash incentive from Rocky Mountain Power.

Department of Energy Online Home Audit  Take a few minutes to complete this online survey about your home and its energy usage. You'll find out how you currently use energy and get detailed instructions on how to reduce your energy consumption.

Home Energy Analysis – Complete this paper survey about your home and mail it to us. We'll send you back customized recommendations on how to save energy. 

Idaho Average Energy Use  Learn which appliances have the biggest impact on your monthly electricity bill so you can plan how to save around your home.

Time of Day – This option can save you money if you can move a substantial portion of your electricity use to off-peak hours (nights and weekends).

Weatherization Services – Rocky Mountain Power partners with nonprofit agencies to provide energy efficiency services at no cost to income eligible households. In the Idaho Falls area, contact the Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership at (208) 523-5466. In the Pocatello area, contact the SouthEastern Idaho Community Action Agency at (208) 237-0991.

Low-Interest Loans – The Idaho Office of Energy Resources offers five-year, 4 percent loans for insulation, space heating system upgrades and electric water heater upgrades.

Free Energy-Saving Information – Request a copy of our energy efficiency booklet and we'll mail it to you.

Some of the programs listed above are funded through a small fee on your bill called Customer Efficiency Services.
